Lenovo Launches 17TV Smart Television Brand, Releases First 55-inch Model
Lenovo has officially branched out into designing and manufacturing smart television sets with the launch of its 17TV brand with their first product being a 55-inch Smart TV called the 17TV 55i.
The new TV features a 55-inch 4K screen that supports 3D display, a 128Hz refresh rate, built-in JBL speakers, Dolby Digital sound, and is powered by a Cortex-A17-based processor similar to the one found on the Xiaomi MiTV 2. It also features a very minimalist design with impressively narrow bezels.
The 17TV 55i uses the Alibaba’s YunOS which is a smartphone OS quite popular in China and has now, with Lenovo’s new smart TV brand, made its way into smart TVs. With YunOS, the 55i will have access to a content library with over 800,000 hours of HD content.
Users can also watch media on the 55i through its HDMI 2.0 port that supports input at 4K @ 60Hz, its HDMI 1.4 port, its SD card slot, or its USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. There are also an array of audio output options on the 55i including a stereo speaker jack, a headphone jack, and a component jack. Additionally, it also comes with a digital antenna input port and an Ethernet port.
The 17TV 55i will be available for only 3999 Yuan which is a very good price for a 55-inch 4K smart television.
